Rongcheng Forgings, over 15 Years, manufacturing and supplying forged rings by the metal forming processes, which is known as " hot ring rolling" or called " ring forging".
By this process we used to produce seamless rings with high strength and more precisions for customer's custom forged ring parts.
Material of Steel grade:
Common materials used include carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel.
Punching:
By using nas gas heating furnances, we heated billet and then placed in a press, where a hole is punched through the center to create a hollow donut shape, to ensure a consistent structure.
Ring Rolling:
The hollow piece will be placed on a supporting rod, and pressure by using a set of rollers that gradually stretch the metal. This action will increas the ring’s diameter while reducing its wall thicknesses, resulting in a seamless rolled ring.
The ring rolling process is typically performed byusing advanced CNC machinery to ensure precision and consistency.
Heat Treatment:
After forming into the seamless hot rolled rings, if need, the rings will be moving to heat treatment processes like normalizing, quenching, annealing, and tempering. This enhances the mechanical properties, such as hardness.
Machining:
Not only rough machining, the forged ring may need additional machining operations: turning, drilling, or milling to achieve the final dimensions and surface finish. All machining is also custom required machining.
