Ring Forging Flanges S355JR S355NL S355J2 Normalizing Quenching Tempering
We use the processes of hot forged and ring rolled for manufacturing big diameter forged flanges.
This forging process, which involves shaping hot steel under high pressure, and could give these forged flanges a more uniform grain structure and superior strength when comparing to cast flanges type.
So the forged flanges from our seamless hot rolled rings can make them more robust and reliable for the customers's final demanding applications.
Step 1: Material preparation
S355JR which could be equivalent of China steel grade of Q355B, with the type of continue casting billets or ingots from reputation chinese steel makers.
Step 2: Heating and Forging
Cut billets will be heated and reached a specific temperature, below 1100℃ for S355JR steel, punching by our presser and beening moved to ring rolling mills to make the material malleable for shaping into seamless rolled rings for large diameter flanges.
Heat treatment is performed to achieve the desired mechanical properties, by using normalizing commonly for S355JR to improve toughness and ductility. Stress relieving also be done during heat treatment.
These forged ring parts will be machined to final dimensions and surface finish using by CNC machining and drilling, milling to meet the customers's drawings's requirement.
Quality control involves non-destructive testing, dimensional checks, and mechanical testing to verify properties of big size forging ring flanges of S355JR.
After cleaning the forged flange, we marked with identifying information for traceability and make the package for seaworth delivery.
